Face Painting is NOT for babies.

Most professional face paints have a manufacturers recommendation of 3+ yrs. The main reasons for this is because younger skin is still very sensitive and can react adversely to the paint.
Small children are easily distracted and make sudden movements; This not only compromises the ability to paint a decent design, but it can be very dangerous when there is a pointy paint brush so close to their eyes. An arm design or small stencil on the hand or forehead can sometimes work. At the parents request, I will attempt a simple design on children under 3, but I will stop immediately if they resist in ANY way. Holding them still is NOT an option.
Most children love getting their faces painted, but just like some children do not like Santa, Clowns or Mascots, some don’t like face paint, (this includes older kids). Sometimes a child will initially say no, then change their mind after seeing everyone else painted; others are simply shy and will refuse altogether. Face painting should be a fun experience. PLEASE - never force a child to get painted and please allow the child to pick the design THEY want. If your ‘princess' wants to be a tiger or a pirate, please don’t talk her into being a butterfly - kids know what they want.
Regardless of age, Fantasy Face Design will NOT paint a child that is sick, crying or does not want to be painted.
